One of the most popular activities in Ocean City is to go the beautiful and clean sandy beaches to sun and swim. Ocean City is known as "America's Greatest Family Resort" as it caters to all members of your family. There are 8 miles of nice, clean, guarded beaches along the whole coast.

Another popular activity is going to the boardwalk whether to walk, run, ride a bike, shop or eat. All these activities are fun! The boardwalk runs for 2.5 miles from the North end of the town to 23rd Street. During the summer you can ride a bicycle or surrey on the boardwalk between the hours of 5:00 - 12:00 AM. New Jersey law requires helmets to be worn by children under the age of 14 years. This law does NOT apply to riding on the boardwalk, however. Stores, eateries and amusements are dotted along this walk with a newly renovated area from 12th - 14th Street - including new restrooms for your comfort. The boardwalk has arcades and amusement piers, a waterslide, theaters, lots of miniature golf courses, great pizza, frozen custard and ice cream, pretzels, popcorn and so much more - even restaurants. There is great clothes shopping on the boardwalk and other varied shops, toy stores and jewelry stores. Ocean City even has its own dog park for your pooch
